So what now if you planned it first? Does it make that horrible-looking thing go away from people's perspective?
And no need to call it secondary display if it's basically still part of the main display. It's a cutout portion of the main screen, so it's a notch, a damm notch! Not a second display!
Besides, didn't you ask the people on Reddit first about this thing? They gave you enough feedback that they don't like it.
If you also observed, many people immediately disliked the iPhone X after it was officially announced, and even before that when it was still all about leaks and rumours.
So the only thing I could thinQ of about your notch design on the G7 ThinQ is that you only want to get the same reaction from people as they did when the iPhone X came out. You only want to grab attention of the people since you're bound to be irrelevant ever since the failure of the LG G5's modular design.
The only difference is that Apple has lots of money, more than enough to keep them alive despite their failure on just one model.
Idk what are you planning in the future though. Maybe you're not gaining enough money anymore to make a million units of smartphones, so you're barely releasing smartphones nowadays.

The notch is a new reality just like
Sony's Glass sandwich
Apple's sealed battery
LG's 18:9 Aspect ratio.
Sony's side FPS(Potentially)
Apple's removal of 3.5mm audio jack
Sony's capless water resistant ports
Apple's "No" SD card slot
Sony's 4K display(iminent)
Sadly the one that is not catching on is Samsung's edge display
And that is why I actually believed LG on this. They must have thought of the notch 1st while trying to implement the 1st 18:9 screen which the sensors obviously would have been in their way of bezelless design.(Not like it matters who does it 1st) Besides, LeEco removed the audio jack 1st, but people would say Apple thought it up 1st. So I totally absolutely believe LG. The "2nd screen" thing does come to mind too.
PS. What you said about the notch had been on my mind for 3 months, I did'nt say a word about it 1st plus Who knows how long it has been on your mind(or others).

We designed the notch before Apple but failed to launch it earlier than Apple so it was our idea first. What an excuse given by LG! LMAO! Copycat trying to prove they didn't copy. Guys, Essential was first to bring a Notch but do you see any brand copying essential phone's notch? All I see is brands copying the iPhone X style notch.

Sorry? Second display? How is it a display when it displays nothing! If that's the case i have a 15 square meter display in my room. It only shows ochre color but it huge and the resolution is so much better than everything LG can come up with!
