You can set Amazon Alexa as the default assistant on Android Comments

Anardo, 08 May 2018Why would anyone want to do that??? especially with Google Assistant Around.Because to hell with Google!
I only use Android as a platform for third party apps and try to block as many of Google's apps as possible.

Who want to downgrade from google to amazon?

I also don't like to buy amazon product
Because amazon never give back
Amazon steal google android for their product, but never give back.

I was able to do it on Android 7.1.1, on Xiaomi Mi6 on Global ROM 9.0.2.

Wasn't Google block other to do that or have other change that function that only OK Google can do so.
I remember Microsoft's cortana once took over OK Google after you installed it. You can wake it up by voice or long press the home button.
But then it lost that function shortly after with a update.

Alexa is coming to Windows devices and Cortana is coming to Amazon devices. Check the lateat Microsoft event.
