Also they were one of the first with minimum bezel displays, igzo panels hitting high refresh rates, and much more. They bring out phones mainly to showcase their r&d. A reason why Apple the biggest boy is it's customer.

I for one have a copy cat phone from sharp aquas but thats not even a Xiaomi.
My next phone will probably be redmi note 5 sd636 global if my local shops start to sell it as right now i have only 33-41 days delivery times. And well cant wait till asus come's to the market and not flash sale only with it's complicated long name with sd636 stock droid on it with promises.
I have a working tablet Asus Nexus 7 2013 that still works just fine and does still look good.
Never have had cover or screen protection film on it. So it can look like cheap plastic but it has lasted better then any of my Nokia phones i have ever had and there are over 15 of them.
And well i dont like updates too cause always they come and want your attention and take long time to install and then go over the progress of restarting your phone. I still get support on my droid 6 and feels like every day it updates something. Same with my 92 euro phone i bough to test from gearbest to see what quality i get from that low money to but next one for something between 150-200. And to be honest this Leagoo Kiicaa Mix i have is built well and have dropped and survived well. Does feel on hand as premium as my Nokia's ever were.
I am growing out of even PC gaming so i would not need it even on phones so i dont need power house that is SD8xx series and pay 450+ for it. 150-200 phone will do everything for me. Either i go with 3/32 or 4/64 with RN5 global it will have everything i need exept type-c that i have on my 92 euro phone and like the feature but not that it missing 3.5mm jack

The notch failed miserably. you only have one job at least make the notch looks better but this one is awful.

4GB ram seems a little underwhelming especially when there's mid range phone with 6GB ram. Also if they come out with no global rom, I won't consider it at all. Had the Sharp Aquos S2, while it is good, notifications doesn't seem to work except for WhatsApp. Kinda disappointing.

That's what we in the trade call "bad design": Notch + Chin + top bezel + thick build. It's not like customers really tend to buy great designs (iphone 8 plus, LG G7 thinq?!) but hey, sharp pays designers to build a modern phone right? Oh well, I wont buy this, no way.

There was a time when Japanese mobile phones were so advanced. They had big screens when the world onkynhad 3-4", video calling, superb games and apps even though they were running symbian. Theu had these amazing designs that Nokia or Sony Ericsson couldnt come near. I felt so tortured as a teen bec. Of that lol fast forward..we are at the korean's mercy. Such a shame Japan. Such a shame.
From the back it look too much like a old iPhone, and from the front, it is like essential plus Samsung ( top half essential, bottom half Samsung, that home button).
And then at the end of the video say "be original" ?
If Sharp wanted to be original, they should have removed the home button, so they can move the bottom bezel to the top on the camera is, so that watching anything from that screen won't feel weird!

Nzi97, 08 May 2018Minus the fact it has notch thoEssential and Sharp are the first ones to release a notch phone, not Apple. Only these 2's notches are the most acceptable. No to Rectangular, Trapezoidal and asymmetic notches.

After lg went from 135 to 107 degree fov, good to see someone take it back, though just for video. IGZO is great, so is hi res camera. All thats left is real world performance and (global) availability.

Been watching AQUOS last couple of years. They have had some really fantastic Japanese releases. Almost tried to get one. This one looks pretty good.
