Imo new navigation bar should be like this
Swipe up=Google Assistant
Swipe down=recent apps
Swipe left=mini view (which android lacks currently)
Swipe right=last app (alt+tab)
Press and hold=home
And also add something like ultra power saving mode on samsung
Keep the recent apps menu as it is not like iOS
App timer is great for restricting phone usage
What happened to THE NOTCH support?
s8, 08 May 2018samsung>????Well, I think is busy :)
When as the last time OPPO and VIVO push an update to their device? As far as I can remember, none of their device got any o.s update..
Android O , Oreo
Android P , Pringles perhaps ?
s8, 08 May 2018samsung>????Yeah, no Samsung, HTC, LG or Huawei/Honor. Although cudos to the latter for at least including Treble while updating their phones to Oreo.
Now all brands going to copy iOS. RIP android (2010-2018)
Android will never be resources efficient.. App size keeps increasing, storage needs as well due to apps consuming a lot of storage, so many apps requiring dubious permissions, background data, network activity and what not. With every new iteration of Android, Google services are getting deeply integrated to comprehensively spy on user data. Google Play Store and most Google apps need the battery consuming and data hog app called Google Play Services installed in order to work. No doubt, Android has come a long way in terms of development, features, and many more aspects but it has never been and most probably never will be a resource efficient and user privacy respecting OS. Period. My journey with Android started with Gingerbread 2.3 and I'm still with Android and I'm fed up. Other than iOS, there's no viable alternative to Android OS for me and many others like me. Simply put, it's a monopoly because of Android and iOS and we as users are devoid of other choices which is a bad thing. I want something new, something refreshing as a smartphone OS which doesn't have the flaws of Android and iOS. I wish I had the resources to develop my own OS to use on my phones. I would happily bid adieu to the Android world the day I have a better option. Middle finger to Google.
Mi Mix 2S Android One phone way to go.
Huh, looks simillar to something called iOS UX
I like all these new features except the navigation system because, honestly, I think it's just a similar system to iOS and I like how Android works with its current system. I hope they have an option to choose between the old and the new one.
It's a refreshing take on the user experience but it isn't something radically different from what samsung has been doing the past couple of years. However, i am interested to see how much of a benefit the new navigation scheme will be compared to what is already employed. But having said that, i guess it's also understandable what with the trend of ever shrinking bezels.
