G... moreThey definitely do not sell millions of phones every day, not even millions of phones every quarter. I think they shipped 500K phones in the 1st quarter of this year. I love HTC and can't wait for the U12/U12+ but they are definitely a sinking ship at this point.

The vast majority have iPhones, the rest Asus and Sony and some Samsung's. HTC is practically non existent even on their own turf.

Pretty sad.

HTC sells millions of phones every day so they can afford to sell extra expensive phones ;). Good luck HTC ;).

I was a fan of HTC till HTC 10 and then switched to Samsung because of lack of timely updates, lack of 3.5mm audio jack, wireless charging.

acemang, 09 May 2018LOL. nokia 8 looks a 100 euro phone period. i've a friend that have a xiaomi Mi A1 it looks be... moreAgree with camera and other points .. But Disagree with Nokia 8 design .. Looks are subjective, silver version looks great , it's more of a "classic" ook, not flashy and most people + reviews have termed Nokia 8 has a great design, check gsmarena review .. Techradar at the time termed it as one of them most beautiful Nokia phones.. Scandavian design .. And certainly not cheap.. Even their cheap Nokia 5 looks very premium as mentioned by most reviews

You also have to remeber Nokia 8 was a budget flagship so they didn't do too much with design ..

You should look at 8 sirocco in person which is all about premium design .. Go through reviews .. Their head designers are the same people who worked at nokia

acemang, 09 May 2018LOL. nokia 8 looks a 100 euro phone period. i've a friend that have a xiaomi Mi A1 it looks be... moreI would love to buy U11+ if it's have small bezel like LG V30, which has the same body size with regular U11.
U11+ is just too tall and won't fit at my jeans pocket. And I'm worried that U12 will follow suit as gigantic as U11+.
If they can't shrink the bezel like LG, at least the can come up with 5.8" option that more pocket friendly...

Overall it's nice HTC U12 will go dual camera, I would love to find feature like live focus camera of Samsung Note8.

peachy001, 09 May 2018Not so. I thought the same, but looked into it. Actually more Nokia than you think. Actually this is not possible. Because Nokia the real Nokia, never had smartphone with Android os. Nokia name in Microsoft ownership, had, 3 modela (X,XL,X2) 2014, and 2015, but those phones was really bad, even for entry level devices.

So this Nokia name under HMD (Foxconn), only shares design with older Nokia, also share good build quality with Nokias from decade ago (N series for example), but, thats it. Camera quality from some of the flagaship Lumias, or even 808 Pureview is still on the wish list, only. But camera from Nokias 2018 is better than from Nokias 2017.. And thats a step in the right direction..

Pricing their phone so high, despite so many Continuous Quarters in Losses??? Wow. Seriously shameless.

HTC has so much potential. Start with complete retrenchment of the top staff. And get new design cues and plan for a long term brand building exercise. Considering how long HTC has been in the business, and how good some of their phones are, utsvterrible how badly they are doing.

Most underrated OEM in a couple last years.. HTC make good flagship phones but that is not enough to be at least in top 10 OEMs world wide, because mid range from HTC is not so good. Sad, even XDA developers site exist because of HTC, also first phone with Android os was, that HTC XDA, back in 2008 (i think). :)
