To be fair, zte brought it upon themselves so it's only appropriate they pay the price. Can't say if the suspension is overboard or not but yeah, this is hardly surprising.

            I bet investors are livid.

Too many people think they can make a choice in violation of their rules, honesty, and integrity - and not get caught or have to face consequences. Well, ZTE, that attitude is coming home to roost now.

I wanted you guys to make an Axon 9, but if you're going to violate sanctions against one of the most repulsive theocracies on the planet, I want no part of it, and for your dishonesty, I hope this bankrupts you.

For those unawares, this ban covers critical American technologies such as Qualcomm chips/radios, and may well depending on the legal reading impede access to American software such as Google Play Services. It may even compromise their ability to use Android.

So for a cellular company, that is devastating. It was a very, very stupid risk to take, but they took it, and the calculus is exactly what should have been expected.

Anonymous, 10 May 2018This is good for many of the smaller and emerging manufacturers such as Nokia. Less competition.bad for us customers, we need quality products which cost cheaper , more competitors , more choices.

Ouch. Well, look at it. The US has power of life over companies, and then again. No wonder Trumpet cries that others shall pay more and bend over their rules. They won't, they won't do anything anymore.

ZTE doing good phones, with such an amazing apperance and hardware...but now, because some bullsh*t with US of A they cannot progress.

I mean, even Huawei is closed to the US of A because of Trumpy Shittttty decisions. Have this some kind of relation of Korea's negociation to give Korea better image and sell theyr sh*t like Sammycrappy there better than other brands?!

Apple deserve the same tbh, they are not all US of A made, China is envolved and then iJunky need to be banned too.
