You can now use the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact on Verizon, if you buy it from somewhere else Comments

Why only the compact though? I know there's a market for that phone but the regular XZ2 and XZ2 Premium are fantastic phones and they should get certified too.

I wish GSMArena updated the radios and bands for all 3. If Sony did add CDMA to all 3 phones, I'd get the premium and beg Sprint to approve it.

[deleted post]But for people who wants a compact powerhouse smartphone that powered by latest most-powerful chipset but Android and not iOS that offered by Apple, this currently the best choice as other OEM aren't interested doing this category of smartphone, and if they made one , it isn't equal as Sony Compact for exception of X Compact (S5 Mini , HTC One Mini , etc.)

And it's as low as $565 on 1shopmobile, but no warranty in the U.S. (if you're okay with that).

This news is good at face value. I wonder whether or not Verizon will certify any 2019 and/or 2020 Sony models.
