Price is confirmed to be below 15000.
But Mediatek SoC is a let down. Though good on specs, but their drivers are almost never updated.
Also replacing fingerprint scanner with gimmicky AI Face Unlock is a very bad move. This device just like Oppo's other devices is meant for uninformed offline buyers. And is almost guaranteed to flop as online exclusive.

But I really wish they do a bit more segmentation than just Kirin 659 and Kirin 970 for all phones between 10k and 65k. Maybe Kirin 670 would help in that regard.

Shanti Dope, 12 May 2018That's why I always go far away from Oppo and Vivo stalls in the mall near my location here. ... moreSame here.
Their salesman/woman is actually very attractive, but good thing I watch tech videos every day. One time, when I went inside Oppo store, they even recommend me to buy A53 which is really bad cause it uses MediaTek! I was just like "Yes, yes, yes, I like it blah blah blah..." And go out from the store.
When my Galaxy S3 died, my mother recommended me to buy a midrange phone. I almost get the J7 Core because it has Exynos 7870 but I found out that other features are little than Y7 Prime (2017), which BTW has same price with better specs, bigger battery, and more features. And ended up buying a Huawei phone.

The marketing team is super aggressive, but I'd feel bad if I just ignore them.
People would buy their products because of great salesmen/ladies, not for the greatness of the products themselves.

That's why I always root for Xiaomi and Huawei for best budget devices.
They're the only Chinese OEMs that I would actually consider getting over a Samsung or Apple device.

Yes I do think it's very repetitive to use the same exact chipset on many similar devices with little differences and differing names. But it's what they want to do anyway. The important thing is that each and every single one of those devices are really great value for money with very satisfactory overall user experience.

Its ok if the price is right , we can compromise with the fingerprint sensor , but cameras should be better than asus atleast ,and price around 10k to 12k , if more than that , realmi will not be real any more lol.

                                    Forget this sub-brand.
Oppo themselves can't even compete with Xiaomi's Redmis.
The only true competitor to Xiaomi is Huawei, but it appears that Xiaomi still rules the budget segment, although Asus seemed to have learned their lesson and putting some serious fight with their recent Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Huawei mostly leads in mid range department, while Nokia can do admirably in both budget and mid range.
Asus is also good in mid range.

Oppo and Vivo? Nah, forget about their unjustifiable overpriced devices.

That naming is really bad though. I mean, Xiaomi already has "Redmi". Then Oppo wants to compete 'em with the cheap version of F7 named "Realme"? What? Another novelty factor that is just useless for most people?
