This was done so china wont do the same with Apple and Qualcomm. Trump is just fixing his mess ups so it doesn't come back and bite us in the butt.

Secondly, Chinese never raised any concerns regarding American stealing their IP. Last, but not least - stick to the subject. PowerVR has contract with Apple, so they can do sh*t now. Only thing they can do, is not extending the contract in the future and it's something Apple's definitely prepared for. They certainly cannot ban Apple in China - Chinese authorities can. In fact, Chinese authorities keep making it harder to sell iPhones in China and Apple's sales in China keep peaking down, which is other reason why Trump does, what he does. We may find it entertaining, but Trump is doing what American taxpayers hired him for.
OK, since you don't really know what you're talking about, I'll finish this opinion exchange with you here.

Imagination power VR is now in Chinese hands, not only that they can ban Apple in China, cut their supply chain but also make demand that it stops selling worldwide all of it's products that infringement Imagination IP's.

TBH forcing China to make there own hardware isn't good for US in a long run. As China have over billion more people in there country then USA ,there market is a lot bigger so USA needs that market and the more companies that buy hardware from USA the more money they get. But USA wants to control everyone. China isnt world wide war mongol like USA is. Or like Russia is. Largest population on the world and second is India and both dont shine for the world like they are war hungry or control hungry

China brought it to themselves. Everyone keeps complaining about how Chinese companies don't respect intellectual property and still other's ideas. Trump is the only one who's actually done something about it. He hit them where it hurt.
He doesn't really want to close all businesses US has with China (so he talks to them), he only wants them to start treating US seriously.
Did you see last Motor Show in Beijing? Look for some pictures and think about why are American companies pissed.

On the other hand - situation makes other countries realize, how dependent they are on electronics coming from US. They will put more money and effort in developing their own technologies and solution. It's a win-win situation.

This story has an epilogue & ZTE is small compared to both Apple and Qualcomm which could easily go it's path.
