more and more brand use decently strong SoC for sub-$300 brackets. 2 years ago I bought mi5 (SD820) one for $220. throttling AF due to heat but fixable with custom kernel. It was a steal, got stolen by darn thief tho....
I'd buy it for anything under $300 if it would ever make it to the US... Maybe even $400
Once the king and low end cheap phone made in china

Upto 7 models are fine per year to cover different price points
They are already profitable in India
Nokia is going the HTC route is seems, build so many models of phones and then start making heavy losses. Absolutely mad considering they are making a loss annually. Stick to small, mid and large screen phones and then some feature phones for Asia and Africa. At this rate in couple years it'll see the same fate as the previous owners.

Guys these are China prices .. Which are different from global prices..
Nokia 6 2018 is selling for 1300 yuan
This x6 will sell for 1500 yuan
Nokia 7 plus sells for 2300 yuan
So now calculate prices for your regions
So no helio P60 version? That's a shame. It now just seems like an inferior and cheaper version of Zenfone 5 now. I do hope it's not china exclusive though.
The notch can be a deal breaker to some, but I guess the Nokia branding alone can make up for it.
Best yet, if they also add an option to hide it.
And being a Nokia phone, I expect superb durability and IPS LCD screens that rivals and even beats OLEDs in contrast, brightness, and sunlight legibility.

It is near impossible that they will launch this at the same price. Because if they do, they will be killing their own profits which they will never do. So I am expecting this to be priced around 22K rather 17K. But who knows what Nokia is planning to do.
It will be a right fit along with asus zenfone max pro or redmi note 5 pro which are plaguing with the stock management issues.....need to get its stocks ready to fire in india if launched

It’s a China-exclusive device. Please remember that.

If Nokia will launch this mobile at this price, it will be a massive hit especially in countries like India where we have no choice in budget segment other than shitty Xiaomi. This phone at $235=approx 16000inr will kill redmi note 5 pro just like thanos killed half the population!!
But I can't shake the feeling that this will never happen because Nokia 6.1 starts at 17000 and X6 is considerably better than 6.1 so it will be priced around 22000.
Everything will be clear in few weeks.
Finally Nokia is hitting Redmi Note 5 Pro after Asus Zenfone Max Pro slapped it already. Haha. Amazing job there, Nokia. You deserve the appreciation. I am getting it for sure. I just hope it has USB Type-C.
