Anonymous, 20 May 2018Gestures all the way. Apple was right. Again. As always. Now it is time for the slowpokes to ... moreLOL Android has various degree of gestures long ago so Apple is the one copying and besides Apple's implementation of it sucks so it means they can't even copy it right lol

Liking gestures more because they usually allow for more natural holding of phone. Especially if I can do them in the middle of the screen and don't have to reach down with my thumb.

Navigation keys are still my favorite. Yeah gestures are cool but didicated navigation keys are much better for efficiency.

If both are available in one OS and has the liberty to choose 1 much better. If you have the luxury of time use the gesture but when you're not use the nav keys. That would be awesome.

Just look at Mate 10, big screen, big battery, front FPS and still not that big or heavy compare to 8 plus. You still can use on screen swipe if you want. So you can have both with out sacrifice anything. The true reason for removing buttons, 3.5mm, SD card slot, battery capacity etc. is the companies can cut costs while raising the price for their higher profit.

I don't want to wreck my fingers so I'm fine with buttons instead of using navigation gestures. I tried Sailfish OS, an entirely gesture based operating system and it was good to use but Android never supported interaction with gestures natively so the old way of navigating using buttons is be far the easiest way instead of flicking your fingers in different direction on the screen.

Meh, two words: Nokia meego. And another question, why do mobile phones still have volume rocker? That has to be most useless button on the phone - give us back shutter key that doubles as power on/off and that's it. The rest can be just swipe - like Meego (how did ditching that go Nokia?)
