Samsung is just taking the proper steps tp making right rather than just sending out future fixes and acting like nothing happened

I don't know what is wrong with Samsung when they release O.S updates, always must be a glitch somewhere, and they say it will be okay, but is taking a long time for an update to arrive. Not fair from them, when you have an O.S upgrade it shoul be perfect when it's lauched, not to see glitches and stuff.

      SM-G935F BTU G935FXXU2ERE8/G935FOXA2ERE8/G935FXXU2ERD6

Update is rolling today to BTU at least. OTA. Updated over G935FXXU2ERD5 automatically over the air (after a manual check for updates, PhoneInfo shows new firmware so I've checked). Still 1 april 2018 security patch inside!

No problems. No lags (excluding 10-15-minutes after the update). Not cleared cache partition. Only had run Device Maintenance once.

Marorun, 16 May 2018Spoken like a true Sammy fanboy your name fit you well. Sorry but Samsung ( at least in Can... moreNo kidding. Phones DO slow down after updates. that's what happens when you stretch a 2 + year old phone out to run software 2 generations past what it shipped with. And I don't care what brand / model phone you want to talk about. it WILL bog things down, especially when people are so hesitant to do a fresh install on their phones.

Try putting Windows 10 on your old Windows Vista PC. See how well that disaster goes. And 10 is supposed to be more resource friendly next to Vista.

Plus I'm not sold on Nokia being able to keep their 2 year promise. Hope they can, but not going to hold my breath on that one.

Anonymous, 16 May 2018Just buy any Sony phone and forget about lag and slow updates.Sony software update and daily operations is indeed fast and smooth. But based on my gaming experience using XZ and XZ1, comparing to OnePlus 3T and 5T which have similar specs, I don't think Sony phones are well optimized. And I also don't think XZ2 can live up to the expectations comparing to other 2018 flagships.

Translation: we see that you lemmings are still sticking with your old phones instead of buying our newer phone, the amazing S9. So we released a buggy update for your old phone, and then stopped it. Want the latest update? Buy our new S9. Come on, it’s just money, and we want it.

Anonymous, 16 May 2018What a shame Samsung. Even my Motorola phone works fine.I have andrpid 7 and it works perfect for me. Not sure why people need these updates so much if Samsung is already better then pure factory android. Of course it's nice to have latest version all the time, but Google makes so small differences in every next os update, that why to worry about another version?
