Then Apple will release the new iPhone and everything else is going to feel like the dark ages again. And the symbian fans will have a feeling like they just got whacked with an 8 foot 2X4. Muhaha

          on topic:
i hope microsoft releases more software for symbian. wp7 is not selling well and ms should focus its efforts in nokia wp7 project. if anyone can push it, nokia can.
samsung, lg, htc are just manufacturers, with little inovation. only thing i respect are samsung screens, but nokia cbd is as good

AnonD-2769, 09 Sep 2011u r not facing reality thats why u r barking over here and bithe way symbian was past and andr... moreandroid is outdated
dual core 1.2ghz and still lags?
            how's that the future?
not to mention battery life and weak hadrware.
the cpu is not everything on a phone, a lot of androids have cheap components like gps chip, wlan, bad build quality.
how can android be the future if the phones last max 1.5 years?

                            Interesting turn of events
Definitely a plus for professionals and students alike using the Windows platform and have Nokia Symbian devices

Let's see further how it turns out once the software are released and implemented on the units. I am excited.

                            Please stop bashing.
Android is gaining ground, best to give Google its just rewards for all its efforts

IOS is a joy to use and revolutionary - lets all enjoy it

Symbian had its time, if it comes back, great!
If not I welcome the exclusivity and still use Android and IOS (when I can afford it)

                            Cheers everyone

nokia's symbian os for smartphones are very slow due to their weak processor-that's why android is gaining market worldwide-nokia should understand that-they are far behind from android smartphones due to their OS- so, Tie-up is not a key-factor- Nokia should change- the Symbian platform for smartphones.....

It's a good news that ms is helping nokia in promoting belle.
Nokia should not ditch symbian but the question arises " how will nokia focus then" ?
Because nokia will have to focus on windows phone 7, meego, series 30, series 40, symbian s60v3, s60v5, symbian 3 - belle.
It seems that they have to ditch something and move on with focusing on the remaining ones, it's a tough decision for them.

this is not c7 but 701.
c7 only can upgrade to symbian anna, not symbian belle. lol

I don't understand, why nokia sticks to Symbian? that OS is not going to get better. and what is wrong with meamo or so called meego? the fact is: YOU ARE BUYING WHATEVER NOKIA SELLS YOU ,SAYING NOKIA IS THE BEST!!!!
