Motorola needs urgently to get out of second gear... Motorola phones are still a huge stride behind Nokia, SE and Samsung...

The Z8 had a 16 million colour screen. But having 16 million colours on devices so small is absolutely pointless.

It's a pity the ROKR E8 doesn't have a 16 million colour screen. That would have been a nice addition to the 2GB built in memory.
Motorola's downfall was the RaZr hype and them trying to hold on to the design with ever flip phone they released after and not to mention similarly named phones like the RiZr. Another downfall was the implementation of the same OS in all their phones (except the smart phones of course). From the v300, v500, v525, v600, e398, V3 RAZR, L7, L7e and L9 just to name a few. When you navigate the menus in any of these phones you get the feeling that you are using the same exact phone in a different body. After the 2Q financial report, where Motorola fell behind third place Samsung, I hope Motorola realise they need to put more work in their OSes and not live on a particular one just to make money quickly.

You can read all about it right here:

Well, Motorola has jumped on the 16 million colour screen bandwagon. Let's see how it works out.
