Much of the benefit of having efficiency savings, is so that people get more SOT. It should not be used as a reason to reduce the size of the battery. That said, this device battery remains the same size as before, small by comparison to other phones. Remember also that these phones are being asked to do more. All this Thinq stuff, and AI this and that. Takes more power to perform tasks that have an extra layer of AI. The reason that some of us are miffed, is because the screen size, and type, are the least frugal. When LG can do such good things with performance (see the V30), they should leverage it. If their 3300mA beats the Samsung 3500mA S9+, then why not stick in a good sized one, and obliterate Samsung? LG is one of the few old school players that could actually make a dent in the Samsungopoly. LG devices, I am looking at the V30, had good battery life, gorgeous size and feel. Had the cameras been better, particularly the front, and the screen been better, they would have done far better. The V30 was/is a lovely looker, which for me easily beats the S8/s9 phones for looks and feel. HTC almost achieved something good with the U11 Plus, but it was hardly available anywhere, and had a really thirsty screen, and no wireless charging.

When I had a G6 I'd be glad to trade that super high... moreA lot of people ("experts") keep posting complaints about LG and doesn't know the basics about actual mobile technologies and keep talking BS....the first one is the relationship between the screen size / resolution and battery capacity...its not that simple folks....the SD845 consumes 30% less power than SD835 and at least 40%-45% less than SD820/SD821 processors so the engineers can reduce in 10% the battery capacity and keep good SOT numbers...but it seems a lot of people can't learn this.......

Lg use bad components rams elpida memory sandisk, i think phones not important for lg just side activity.

When I had a G6 I'd be glad to trade that super high definition (no use for anything other than VR) for decent battery life.
