But still no wireless charging, no fm radio, no 3.5mm jack. Might sell better, but not good enough.

Just like Apple, they are doing the absolute minimun to attract customers. Only that they are not as rich, and can’t last long playing this game.

The latter two only come on Q4, which give me only U12 at the moment....

Those 3 phones excell on audio departement and have no notch!

JamesF, 17 May 2018I'm gonna buy it, maybe in white. This is better than Oneplus 6 in every way, Waterproof, bigg... moreBrighter? They say nothing about brightness. U11+ is piss poor when it comes to brightness - it's probably the dimmest display in years in the top end class.
HDR10 means nothing here. U11+ was supposed to support it but far it does not. Besides, for HDR 10 display needs some 500+ nits. U11+ does not go above 300. To me display in u12 looks identical to U11+. If that's the case then good luck. You won't see a thing on a sunny day.

Finally we will see a great phone without that notch even if the grosor is almost 9.0mm but it is fine. I hope this phone makes a good return for HTC to the global marketing of smartphones.

LG Superfan, 17 May 2018Its personal preferenceI agree. But it is my least favourite material, for a dropable device. I hate chrome too, reminds me of all the old Ford Ghia vehicles from my childhood. Cheap low end looking metal. Have you looked at other materials? There are some great polycarbonates, cork, ceramics. All more distinctive, and rarer. Glass is fragile, and common. Ikimobile does wicked stuff with cork.

You don`t know what you`re talking about, but you still defend decisions which ultimately will negatively affect your (and everyone else`s) wallet.
That U-sonic crap is just a fancy name for noise reduction (which has nothing to do with usb-c), nothing else. Besides the noise reduction in those buds not even being good, the sound from these "U-sonic" cans is not better than from any sony or panasonic buds in the 12 - 20€ range. I`ve had the U11 and the Htc10 at the same time, and believe me when i tell you, that when listening to the same headphones on both, the sound from the 10's jack is superior in absolutely everything in comparison to that sorry excuse of an adapter on the U11. Also i could use those "U-sonics" on my 10 without problems, but i can`t have good sound with 3.5mm headphones from the U11, unless i buy extra equipment (external dac and amp). Shortly: They took something, but didn`t give anything back. There`s absolutely no reason to remove the jack other than cost-cut, and it is especially disappointing to see HTC going this way, as they were widely known for excellent sound quality in their devices.

This is the PLUS version not the standard 12. Assuming there is a smaller 12 one?
Great specs, good looking, very solid throughout by the looks.
Picky, but so wish there was not a full glass back version - so greasy - glass.

Having a slightly above average quality headphones included in the box does does not by any means mean that people would not want to use their expensive media device with much richer headphones that cost hundreds of dollars and have both higher quality and no latency compared to any wireless / usb alternative.

Why should be people forced to abandon products they payed a lot of money to get and are still perfectly happy with ?

Has LG G7 ThinQ/V30 beat the HTC in audio department in their own game or will they fight back? I think they are the only remaining top players giving proper attention in audio.
