Nope, that's not true and never going to happen. Besides this whole Usonic thing can be done even with the headphone jack present, the only reason why they removed it is so that they can make their earbuds proprietary and foce users to use them with their phones. HTC used to treat audiophiles with respect but now they are following Apple and already lost their way.

People still want to use their favourite wired headphones.

I'm gonna buy it, maybe in white. This is better than Oneplus 6 in every way, Waterproof, bigger battery, better brighter higher res screen, better camera sensors, stereo speakers, Sense better than Oxygen OS.
I hope HTC stay in the game. They made the only great early android phones.

No wireless charging, and a reduction in battery size! Why, HTC? That screen did badly in battery life tests. May have to wait for a V40 or Pixel 3.

That implementation perfected the way USB-C use for sound and they should keep it that way. Move on from begging HTC for getting a jack. We accepted that from HTC because they prove USonic to be too good. You should too.

It's a looker! I hope this is a true edge to edge display. I hate side bezels & all new flagships have side bezels as thick as a Galaxy s6!
But I think HTC will overprice it again making a OnePlus 6 a bargain to buy
