It's long not a flagship killer, but for the price you get a lot, still would choose Samsung older flagship model than this, cause they offer more and better quality features and no stupid notches

When you are comparing 2 phones atleast compare the versions with the same internal memory.. Cos microsd is NOT the same performance as internal mem..

How is 64gb version of s9 with 4gb ram costing the same as 256 gb version of OP6 with ... moreMaybe they don't need the extra RAM (who need 8GB in their smartphone) but do value a better camera, IP certification, USB 3.0 (aka "the speed they need") and a myrad of other goodies (such as making sense of the glass build by having wireless charging, or microSD card slot so that 64GB internal isn't really a limitation, or local store support, ...).

Honestly, I'd rather get the Mi Mix 2S at 499Eur, but in reality I'll get whichever gets official LineageOS first (I would never buy a phone without it) -- and the S9 already has it, so... OP6 and the Mix 2S have a very narrow window to strike back (the only reason I don't jump right away to the S9 is the Exynos SoC and the historically problematic 3rd-party ROM support).

someone like me can not buy the 64gb version or the 128gb version and would have to buy the 256gb version because i use a lot of memory so i would happily buy the g7 and use the micro sd slot to expand my storage where as id have to buy the 256gb version of the one plus because it doesnt have expansion
the speakers on the g7 are supposed to be 10x louder than other phones on the market at the minute , even if thats an exaggeration and they are 3 times louder , they are still going to be better than the one plus speakers

you one plus users just seem a little butt hurt that you can buy better flagship phones at the same price , even the s9 64gb can be bought for less than 600 pounds now which is the same price as the 256gb version of the one plus
heck the s9 and lg g7 both come with high end 70-100 pound headphones in the box lol

This phone is nearly the same as the previous generation, 5T, which is btw the same as the 5 version only change the screen size and they're still missing a tons of features such as wireless charging, waterproofing, 2k screen, usb 3, better battery, stereo speakers, radio, ir port, etc.
It's a boring phone!!!

S9 has larger pixels, better focus (dual pixel), dual aperture for different lightning conditions, a dedicated memory buffer for slow motion videos and last but not least :
secondary camera that actually does something and has quality close to main camera.
These phones are not in the same league here.
A fair comparison would be against something like MI MIX2s and even that beats OnePlus in most situations.

Poor microphone, speakers, and vibrator.
But I don't mind them. Those are the little things that most consumers don't bother that much.
Camera is improving because of added OIS and larger aperture (nice). Of course, high end chipset as well but OnePlus is exceeding the price limit of being a "Flagship Killer" because they also want to join the flagships that has more practical features than this one.

The bad: Notch, 1080p resolution, and ba... moreAt least it has high end SoC, the notch isn't worse than larger bezels, especially if there is an option to hide it, and it isn't as wide as on iPhone X. Battery is great according to early reports. I have a 1080p screen on a 12" laptop and it looks great, on 6" phone 1080p is still enough.
There are worse reasons for not purchasing the phone than those You mentioned.

Still the same, horribly bad vibration motor, bad microphones and earpieces, probably speakers too.
They're cutting the corners they shouldn't, I have been missing calls and notifications on the OnePlus 3T, there is no way I will buy a phone with the same level of horrible vibration motor phone. I can't believe they haven't resolved this.

Think the build quality and the specs looks good so far not bothered about the gimmicky wireless charging or the 4k screen, for a low priced phone your getting a lot so I will be getting one at the end of the month.
