I'm not a developer to figure it out, but unlike you, I actually use brain to see things as they are and not making excuses based on 0 knowledge about the code been written.

Oh please, like you ever actually own an Android.

Also, how else is the AI supposed to hear the other person if it can't record them? Technically human to human conversations are being recorded; we have something called brains you see (well, that's debatable for you)

AlexG, 20 May 2018The recording part changes everything.. The advantage of Android over IOS simply disappears...... moreAt least with iPhone I will get 5 years of updates... Google became unreliable, aggressive and untrustworthy company like Apple or even worse, sad.

Everything they build will become a big concern, specially with their Dron gavroment project.

The recording part changes everything.. The advantage of Android over IOS simply disappears... Just having an advantage regarding internal storage won't be enough... Will move to IOS as soon as they apply the terrible decision!

                And what inconvenience?
And if someone feels bad that they have to talk to a robot who does the job same way rather than the person themselves, they themselves don't have enough respect for their Job.
Give one good reason why is it Dumb?
People have assistants doing same Job for them and that is good right?

This whole idea of robots calling people to make appointments, order food, etc. is just dumb.

Think robocalls. Everyone hates them. There is an immediate implication of disrespect when I expect an actual human being on the other end of that call to entertain my wishes.

We already have sytems for "AI" communicating with "AI" to carryout tasks like this. It's called ordering online. And yes, when it comes to food and appointments, these methods can be more tedious than just making the 5 minute phone interaction. But this doesn't make the case for handing this inconvenience to a robot! After all, will we not have to (at some point) take the time to instruct the robot? And again, people hate the insult of talking to robots while making $9/hour slapping together your sandwiches.

I say people can talk to people, robots to robots. Old fashioned?
