Oh c'mon! I was really looking forward to the 'unifying' OS thingy. Hope Jellybean doesn't take too long to come out.

This is exactly what google are doing! Living on people simplicity and stupidity.
The same way apple & samsung does. Too bad many people favor mediocre products because of the Media and leave the great deals behind.
Google creates so much hype to Android users. Users are all excited for every os version which we all know are not that major. Perhaps this is just a typical marketing strategy, especially the impact it would give with every Nexus and batch of Androids from different manufacturers.
I think Good sides of this news is bigger ^_^
Looks like smartphone manufacturers are putting great pressure on Google considering they decided not to allow custom UI's. Honeycomb was first attempt to unify Android on all brands, which would solve many fragmentation problems but, logically, it does not make any good to manufacturers who want to be recognizable with their custom UI (Sense UI for instance). So in the end, Honeycomb failed at this attempt probably due to Samsung's pressure to put TouchWiz in new Tabs), and now it looks like the next "big change" aka Ice Cream Sandwich will fail in that also.
Why bother confusing the mix and further fragmenting w/ ICS then? Simplicity makes sales, not convolution. Learn from Apple how to market your products.
i willl get bloodsugar due to android :P
Somehow I always knew it had to be Jellybean!
Now,google is playing up with samsung.dey dnt want dem 2 release da nxt big android, want 2 kip it 4 motorola's nexus. :(
looks like a drug
yeahp., there is nothing major in difference between gingerbread and froyo..
Let me guess, now all people wanting ICS are now wanting Jellybean. Typical Android
Major disappointment from google. I was waiting on ICS for major changes like hardware accelerated UI and having the same OS running on phone&tablet.
I guess I'll have to wait on going the android path until Jelly Bean, although I'm still curious what ICS will offer.
They are better to take their time and get it right (especially also taking into account the concerns of all Android partners) rather than rushing through a bad product.
