You cant just change the colour scheme and add a new icon tray and call it a new O/S..That can be done with wallpapers themes and a quick visit to app market..

Funny part is that in the past months I have already trained my salesagents with saying that the next version after ICS would be Jelly Bean...

Maybe the good stuff is already patented...
By the way Jelly Beans are indeed sweet... but are no desert. Baah!

Eddie.Q, 10 Sep 2011Mate, the UI's been the same for iOS since the first iPhone came out, and it had been the same... moreGoogle has too many "Releases" at year, but for real not a single one worth (the last one significant was 2.1).

The only thing is making Google is getting fatter Android for being used on more powerful phones, and for result, more sales and more devices outdated at just 1 year of born.

You can't keep on changing UIs. Imagine having to learn your way around a new UI every time an OS goes through an upgrade. It's just not feasible.

I remember when people call me ignorant, troll, communist and stup1d. But I was writing this before..

Ice Cream isn't what Google said. Ice Cream is not the "Super Hero OS" every Android user waits...And defenitly Ice Cream is NOT what Google need to fight back iOS 5 and WP7.5 Mango (and future WP8)

I see Google is running out of new ideas...and maybe is very afraid of making new ones and suffer new suites against their phone manufacturers...They aren't affraid BUT the others like Samsung, LG, HTC, Motorola and so on are. Since all the brights ideas are already Patented.

If Google don't bring REAL and REVOLUTIONARY ideas for future upgrades I'm pretty sure they will suffer same fate of many OS around.

And believe me....Google is running out of ideas and PLEASE change the UI...it's the same from Android 1.6 :(

Would've loved to have seen a "unified OS." I prefer the vanilla Android UI over the customized UIs, but unfortunately, all Android phones (except the Nexus S) tend to come customized.

Seems that there is android fatigue now. Well, lets just be thankful that there is competition today, and that as consumers we have a lot of choice.
