Luxor, 22 May 2018$900 for outdated features. Nothing special. Go ahead everyone. This phone deserve to be bash ... morewhat feature is outdated? it's still expensive, that's true, but Htc never was a cheap brand. go for Xiaomi or One Plus if the price is your concern. Don't see the shock in price. Btw usually Htc usually make discounts to Htc members so you only pay full price if you want. I paid 10% less on mine Htc 11 and that was from day 1, release date, not 3 month later like Samsung usually do. I'm still pretty happy with my htc11. I will pass this phone or any other this year, waiting 7nm processors to come...till them, this is all "small" updates to last year flagships.

      Camera seems promising!
It all depends on how well they will be with android and security updates if i'm going to consider this phone!

AnonD-674280, 22 May 2018For that price there isn't 3.5mm jack even, while other flagships have type-c with 3.5mm jack.... moreDid you listen the earpads provided from Htc? they are way better than average, in fact, I stopped using my 4 drive earpads for the ones provided from Htc. They are good enough for day to day use not worrying about breaking an expensive gear. I'm pretty happy with them. Ofc if they provided the 3.5" jack was better we had more options, but the solution provided from Htc is not that bad..in fact its the best out there out of the box. (maybe LG sound is better, but don't compare LG phones to Htc in quality department, please).

I've Htc 10 and Htc 11, but they lost me on updates, still with November security patch.
Quality is amazing on both devices, still like new with great finishes. I prefer Htc 10 size than Htc 11. I'm hoping some brand is listen, make smaller devices with larger screens..not both. Apple seems the only one that understood that.

                    - the back is almost identical to LG V30's back design
                    - No 3.5mm jack
                    - expensive as hell

You have to be nuts to choose this one over the S9, S9+ or XZ2.
I'm boycotting HTC because they are one of the moron companies adopting the removal of the 3.5mm jack. For this reason I'll never buy Motorola or HTC products ever again!

Too expensive considering it's an Android device which cannot compete even with the (now) cheap iPhone 7 or 7plus.

I usually never wish for a company to die since we need all the competition we can get but HTC truly is one company that needs to die since they refuse to listen to their customers

As all phones are bricks today, they cant exactly argue about space for them. How much of the bt headset you use either in ear or over ear set. There batteries dont last long or go dead when not needed. Cant hook up wire for in-ear headphones too. Type-C plug headphones are still hard to find that are decent and good controls for in the microphone box.
