I have no issues with this chipset at all. If compared to yesteryear mid range chipsets like Hisilicon's Kirin 620, or most of the Mediatek's MT65-- or MT67-- (Non-Helio) Series, the P22 is definitely more powerful. Other than that, it's really good on battery life. Mediatek are trying but people here are to quick to shut them down. I think the Helio and the Dimensity Series have provided a new platform of performance. And even though the Mali or IMG PowerVR GPUs that they use in most of these chipsets won't generally compete with Qualcomm Snapdragon's Adreno Series, they're still getting better and better every year.

Kiyasuriin, 23 May 2018Excellent question. I'll explain: 1. Camera MP. (Megapixel) Count is decided by the SIZE OF T... moreThe Fake bookeh you mentioned is actually the real bookeh.. In the "real" camera world there is just one camera with a powerful lens and sensor.. the forcus is so strong at a particular point (on the subject ) that automatically the background will be seen as blurred.. phones cant fit in that quality optics so have to work around with dual and triple cameras.

Yes, biologically every living creature is free to do their... stuff in nature.
While I understand how crappy Mediatek is, they could AND SHOULD step up their game and fix all the flaws.

Except about 430...it's an old 28nm process

There won't be any Helio X this year, due to X30's bad sales.
Mediatek can easily do better soc, but can't sell them...

On high-end, patents costs become too high. If companies don't do both soc and devices (like Samsung with Exynos, Huawei with Kirin, Apple with A serie), it's nearly impossible to compete (Mediatek failed with mt6595 and X30, Intel failed with Z3580/Z3590)

Tri-cluster is an improved big.LITTLE. I use X20 and it's great, but as Arm released DynamIQ, there's no more need to do tri-cluster. You can, for exemple, put 2A75 and 6A55 in a single cluster
