Why did DxOMark tested this newly released phone in less than a week, but at the same time, can't even test some like the Xperia XZ2, which was already available in most countries (probably more countries than this U12+ is currently available at, including where DxOMark headquarters live) and now being used by many average consumers?
Yes we know HTC doesn't have a lot of money to pay DxOMark to give full marks to their phones, but the point here is that DxOMark is no longer a highly-respected camera testing standard after all of the ridiculous changes that they've had in the recent years.

I don't take this 'reviewers' seriously....every t... moreReviewers talk about what they care about, and don't necessarily reflect what the average consumer cares about. For example, the whole EMUI hate train that everyone's jumping on. Yet Huawei sells so many phones, and Pixel with it's stock android sold so poorly. Nobody cares about those details.

Some are biased and only paid, and also some are seriously reviewing them side by side and deep dive the specs of that camera used.

I don't take this 'reviewers' seriously....every time a new phone comes out...like say the OP6 ..it is usually the same line 'good camera but does not reach the heights of say Samsung and Iphone'....makes you wonder what marvel this samsung camera is that consistently gets poor artifacts and texture scores in a data based review like dxomark.

Photos that show high brightness which leads to wrong white balance, too much contrast which males photos artificial are always chosen by readers/viewers.
Dxo probably changed protocol because of Apple. They knew iphone would never lead that way.
The i7 was rated below s6 and Z5.

All I need to see is exposure, colour, texture, artifacts and maybe noise, the rest are Irrelevant :) . It seems to be a good camera.

Yup, DxO is DxO. They'll just score the phone in the highest once the company pays them hundreds of thousands, or even millions.

I was disappointed on the P20 Pro, but I agree that it's the best camera smartphone on zooming shots.
iPhone X, my opinion, is the well balanced camera of them all.
OP6 is good also for its price tag!
S9? For low light situations!

HTC is well known for their cameras. Working with Google helped them improve the scores even more. Back then 90 (U11) was the highest and it was hard to achieve that or is it the fact that DxOMark just lowered the bar on the results to give any companies an easy 95+ scoring.
HTC just only pay them with their phone and DxO honestly gave their phone a great score, just like the other phones before.
