Since the Redmi 5a is the best selling Xiaomi device, this is a direct competitor with modern screen proportions. For sure the price will be adjusted to something like 100 USD. The device is compact, with decent hardware in the entry level. Of course everyone on gsmarena is more into phones and for him such devices look silly, but for the others this is a normal phone with better specs than Nokia 2, Nokia 3 which are more expensive.
I believe there will be Meizu m8 with more RAM, but it is very likely they will use again MTK 6750 (which is OK too).

It should be either cheaper or with better specs. They should definitely add 3GB version at least.
