It should be commonsense for OEM's that if they give support for anything and promote that whatever that they should bundle the applicable accessories inside the box to utilise whatever they are trying to show off to win customers.

I definitely will not buy a device that is promoting QuickCharge4+ for example if it doesn't come bundled with the appropriate QuickCharge 4+ charger.

Da fuq these money grabbing leeches think we are?

Following sheep that will swallow anything down our throats?

stivi737, 25 May 2018I read your other comment too. I think that Qualcomm has no rights to show officially a featur... moreI understand your point of view. But some leaks can have a positive impact on a product. Quick charge 4.0 would be a very good addition to the Mi8, since many of the competition are still using version 3 which is a few years old. I didn’t try to bash either Qualcomm or Xiaomi. I’m actually very interested in the Mi8, since I want to replace my almost 2 year old OnePlus 3. And with Xiaomi opening shops across Europe, I might actually be able to get one without ordering it from obscure websites and having to pay hefty import fees.

The only missing features for the mi lineup are stereo speakers, wireless charging and IP68 waterproofing.
Lets hope the mi 8 would utilize them!

And if it would have a good camera with OIS and good performance at low light, it would be the best smartphone currently!

Am I missing something? I looked up devices getting Quick Charge 4 Technology... and the Xiaomi Mi 8 is not depicted below the Smartisan R1.

Qualcomm QC 3.0 is ridiculously fast with 15W charger.
I never really need to wait more than one-and-half-an-hour to fully charge my QSD 625.

v.i.andron, 25 May 2018And unfortunately it's fake: https://www.qualcomm.com/media/documents/files/quick-charge-de... moreI read your other comment too. I think that Qualcomm has no rights to show officially a feature of a phone that d isn't yet made public. I mean i know the specs leaked and Xiaomi themselves announced a date, but however on their site they have not placed any banner for the Mi8

v.i.andron, 25 May 2018And unfortunately it's fake: https://www.qualcomm.com/media/documents/files/quick-charge-de... moreAs a side note... I do admit that there is a possibility Qualcomm did not want to "leak" this information early, and removed the Mi8 from the list when they realized the mistake. But I don't really see the point, since Xiaomi already confirmed the release date, the name of the phone, and the reason why it's going to be called Mi8 instead of Mi7. But if this is the case, I do apologize for my previous comment.

Samsung is still scared of upgrading to QC 4.0 because they really care a lot of their batteries. LOL. XD
This phone turns out to be one of my best smartphones of 2018.
