Anonymous, 28 May 2018So it's still worth buying a "brand new" unit 2 to 5 years after its releaseyou may never be needing 12gb RAM in your phone even 10 years from now.
I swear that these ansholes will still ask for an SD card even with 512GB disk space inside the phone.
Clumsy people clumsy problems :-)
macky2green, 29 May 2018Thanks, dude. Yeah, Facebook app is a culprit on all of our security, privacy, battery, lag... moreA good alternative to Facebook is obviously not to have Facebook on your phone. If you need to check your feed you can always log in through your browser.
AnonD-762416, 28 May 2018You don't have to disable any system features to get rid of lag on a Samsung or other phones. ... moreThanks, dude.
Yeah, Facebook app is a culprit on all of our security, privacy, battery, lag and world problems. What's a good alternative from these choices: https://www.androidauthority.com/best-facebook-apps-for-android-527190/ ?
Cheers!
Ghostwolf87, 29 May 2018Lol, 5 to 5.5 inch is still a phone last I checked. 5.5in is a large phone, but still a phone... moreNot too long ago, people were crying that 5.29" to 5.5" devices are too big for a phone in Samsung's Note line. Now you consider it normal. History is merely repeating itself here.
I have no problem using my Note 8 with one hand, thanks to my big hands, and it's pokectable just fine. Folks with smaller hands can easily activate 1-handed mode wherever the need arises by tripple-tapping the home button or swiping in to the center from the bottom corner. But don't let that stop your bitching...
The bigger screen area gives more canvas for note taking, editing photos, reading and manipulating content, gaming, etc.
Kiyasuriin, 29 May 2018456 GB? IS that even an option? Or you've included the SD card you bought in? (200+256) Yeah, 256GB + 200GB MicroSD card.

Samsung Lags...well i'm using a S7 for almost 2 years, and the lag that eveeeery body speaks it's not there; I accept, there's a bit of lag in Touchwiz when you power up the phone or restart it, but apart from that, no visible lag - all I do is using device maintenance to clean the cache and restart the phone once a week - and I have more than 100 apps installed; if you don't want lag, invest in a decent sd card, don't install all the crappy apps and keep always 25% from internal memory free
MrElectrifyer, 28 May 2018Just a notch over my 456GB Exynos Note 8 ;)
Literally using mine like a Pocket PC as I move... more456 GB? IS that even an option?

Ghostwolf87, 29 May 2018Haven't pocket-sized tablets been dying off the last couple years?
When is it enough Samsu... moreYes please! Such a phone will be excellent!
(Blegh. Should have ordered the american version of the S9 -_-)
Ghostwolf87, 29 May 2018Lol, 5 to 5.5 inch is still a phone last I checked. 5.5in is a large phone, but still a phone... moreNo all phablets. The only popular phone is iphone 8 (a semblance of one handed use).
Everything else require two hands, exactly like tablets... but they are pocketable, so phone-tablets, phablets.
My idea was that the big relevation was not the iphone but rather the ipad. By now i'm correct. Most flagships these days are closer to an ipad screen than an (original) iphone screen.
Jobs was wrong. People care about seeing as much as possible, not one handed use. Expect things to get even bigger and eventually become full tablets westworld style. It is basically why tablets are dying , our phones are turning into them. No need for a tablet at home if yo already have one in your pocket...

Just to be clear, I currently have a LG V20, so no, I haven't been "living under a rock". I just see no need for any bigger screens than 5.5in for a PHONE.
Beyond that, it is a tablet/mini-TV display device which do have a useful function, but don't try to call a 6" plus
overpriced slab of glass a phone.
Small hands? Really? Lol, are we back in 2nd grade now?
Ghostwolf87, 29 May 2018Haven't pocket-sized tablets been dying off the last couple years? When is it enough Samsu... moreSounds like you've been living under a rock for a long while. Phablets are more mainstream than ever with the average selling device screen size being 5.0" to 5.5" ( https://sck.pm/AlZ ). Too bad your tiny hands can't handle them like the vast majority of consumers can...
Haven't pocket-sized tablets been dying off the last couple years?
When is it enough Samsung? When everyone has a dedicated shoulder bag just to carry around your over-sized retro copy of a 1980's bag phone just to satisfy a few spec freaks who will never be happy and demand "moar, Moar"MOAR!!"?
How about making a 4.8" to 5" flagship with S9+ specs? Make a true business class phone instead of another useless phablet no one actually wants save spoiled adult-sized children who can't give up toys.
Just a notch over my 456GB Exynos Note 8 ;)
Literally using mine like a Pocket PC as I move more and more of my computing workload to it from my Surface Pro 2. Will soon also be using it as my gaming console via Snes/PSP/PS2 emulators and ROMs. As my data grows, so will my external MicroSD card (up to 2TB MicroSD cards are supported by the SDXC standard). Screw the cloud, local storage FTW!

Ng, 28 May 2018Wow, it is computer spec?Νο, it's last year's OnePlus spec. As always Samsung is lagging behind. And to think it was the company that started the whole exhurbant hardware race on mobiles, sad to see them outdone by the chinese...
It worked too. My tablet from Oct 2013 (note 10.1 2014) , is almost half a decade old, but due to its top notch hardware and through the magic of custom roms is still better than most android tabs out there. That's old Samsung for ya... New one: forgettable, arteriosclerotic , lagging behind ...
Anonymous, 28 May 2018Sony. Take note. Dont build another flagship with 64 GB internal memory. It is easy to put high capacity internal storage but it is very hard to get rid of lag and Samsung can't do it.
