India is open market, manufacturers launch what they think consumers will buy and consumers buy what they want...
If mate 10 wasn't launched it's company that's thinking in that direction
P.S above 30k, only one plus, apple and Samsung sell. Others are bystanders

Ironically VP of xiaomi is from India, so it reasonates well with Indians, also there's a difference between vfm and cheap, which I presume you won't understand anyways...

We would always prefer VFM, not dump as others.. We have cheapest Xiaomi & Huawei phones, but not with poor MTK SoC that launched in PK :)
