.
This why people are buying 256 GB versions to avoid future any storage problems ......and
if you consider the cost of the basic version then buy a 256 GB SD card it's worth it especially with the extra RAM thrown in :)

If USB 2.0 was already a bottleneck, going for the cloud will only make matters worst.

Sure, if you consume everything on the phone then more capacity is better. If you don't, more capacity may just be a waste of money (that may only be useful that one time, which you'd get by just fine with expandable storage -- if the phone had a microSD slot or didn't have crappy USB 2.0 bottlenecking pen drives).

"The speed you need" my arse!

And besides.. cannot backup is bad?.. Isn’t it WORSE when you have to delete something when you need to update software.. or fail to take a picture/video of your love ones moments?

2. You can’t fill does not mean others cannot.

Both facts does not prove more capacity = worse. Its just usage preferences.

Like its predecessor, the RX10 II provides a stabilized 24-200mm equivalent F2.8 lens.

OHHH wait 2015? UHmmmm and where to storage that 960fps continous data? Internal? NOOooo: Memory cards: MS Duo / MS PRO Duo / SD / SDHC / SDXC single slot.

Sony RX10 IV ReviewTweet 09/12/2017!!! You can also record slow-motion video with capture rates of 240, 480 or 960 fps at 4k of course. Where it storage all that continuous data and not a short time like phones that eat its storage? Answer: MS Duo / MS PRO Duo / SD / SDHC / SDXC

Try to fool other people. And if you search at internet, video cameras usually use more than one slots, typically two slots for memory cards. High end professionals use connected hard disks of any type. Mechanical or SSD now.
