No one can deny the success Nokia had in the past, or he must be blind BUT Nokia started down ever since REAL Smart Phones came to the market..iPhone...Galaxy S...Tablets.
Their designs were cheep...made for kinder-garden neglected kids.
Their OS was outdated....not even close to the user friendly level of the other 2 giants iOS and Android
They are making this move to late..and their phones appearance + specs are far away from the competition level. I don't see Nokia as a good firm anymore....not until they change their mentality 100%..everything. It's just an "old fashioned firm"
he finally realized and excited about Meego N9, he finally heard and excited about the feedback of Meego N9, he shuts his bad mouth finally and correct mistakes rapidly to become a real ceo of Nokia not MS, finally...
a strike? we wait to see the ball in the net
[deleted post]and btw im not even that much of an android fan and yes nokia will fall we all know this its just a matter of time before mr.FLOP loses his grip on the company and voluntarily goes into liquidation
Ashura, 14 Sep 2011Nokia fans do the exact same thing.and since when are Android fan´s comments restricted ... moreagreed
[deleted post]Nokia fans do the exact same thing.and since when are Android fan´s comments restricted to Android related therads and vice versa. It is a free site you know
[deleted post]Dont predict the future... We will see who will fall and who will rise.... All days are not the same.. And stop trolling in nokias threads.. Do something useful in your android threads
Ashura, 14 Sep 2011Read his comment more carefully. He clearly says NOKIA`S last Meego device je did not say last ... moreI know that Ashura. My statement wasn't simply aimed at just SElop.
SElop, 14 Sep 2011MeeGo will not show on another Nokia device, while Nokia continues to use MeeGo for developmen... moreThat comment wasn't simply addressed to just you either SElop which is why I didn't say the last Nokia Device (which it still isn't due to the N950). It pretty much encompasses anybody that thinks just because Nokia pulled away from Meego, that Meego is over. It's far from that. Intel is still going very strongly with Meego in Netbooks, IVI, Tablets, etc and is gaining much popularity with devs. Check the vast dev communities and you'll find interest in Meego in most of them (XDA too).
AnonD-1082, 14 Sep 2011Thank You Elop! I am now certain that Android will be slain before the holidays. RIP Android.... moreAh the delusions of fanboys *chuckles* comments like this one sure make my day
Meego Revolution, 14 Sep 2011Lol!!! So many uninformed comments. Meego's last device right? Well be sure to let Asus, Ace... moreRead his comment more carefully. He clearly says NOKIA`S last Meego device je did not say last Meego device in general
SElop, 14 Sep 2011MeeGo will not show on another Nokia device, while Nokia continues to use MeeGo for developmen... moreLol!!! So many uninformed comments. Meego's last device right? Well be sure to let Asus, Acer, Intel, Panasonic, Huawei, BMW, GMC etc know because they all have Meego devices coming. Oh, just to let you know, Meego isn't just a phone OS. Lol!!! Asus has a Meego netbook that just came out for $226. "Last Meego Device" Lol, don't make me laugh.
I guess people really have forgotten that Meego isn't solely Nokia's property and now Intel is looking for someone to replace them (and I hope they find someone very good) that the OS gets bigger than Nokia's Symbian and WP7 and makes Nokia look stupid for ditching a great OS for Elop's buddy Balmer.
"sequencing the rollout, so that it will be available in country, after another, after another..."
wrong!!!
that's only going to make things worse.
Then you will have different regions running different firmwares all the time.
That's one of the main reason why I left my Nokia 5800.
It will take to long for updates to come to certain parts of the world. And what nokia doesn't realize, is that the economy is a global economy. If some hot phone comes out in Finland, I will know about it. Why then should I have to wait for it to come to the US?
wrong wrong wrong...
I'd rather buy a Samsung WP7.
Nokia should just divide itself into 3. 1st team would be symbian, 2nd would be meego and 3rd would be WP. Symbian would be low-mid end. Meego would be high-end and Wp would be business phones. It seriously shouldn't be that hard.
Mr Flop does it again... unbelievable.
I liked Nokia and I was looking forward to my N900 successor, but thanks to Elop, my hope is gone. Elop is on route to ruining a good company, a good brand. If people weren't buying WP sold by HTC, Samsung et al, why will they buy from Nokia? I think Maemo was great because of the community support - something that WP, being closed and proprietary, is unlikely to have. Meego (handheld) should have been given a chance beyond the N9. I just hope someone else will pick it up. I wonder how long will Elop last at Nokia before quitting, driving it into the ground or getting the boot....
Thank You Elop! I am now certain that Android will be slain before the holidays. RIP Android. The Nokia WP, aka "The Android Killer", is here.
Good job Nokia!
Elopspeaks, 14 Sep 2011Godd questions, compliments to the Chinese guy. Unfortunately mainly marekting blabla answers. ... moreUsa and Russia are not the only major market. Asian market is even bigger for mobile especially for nokia.
