Absurd as it seems (especially if it's packing the SD710) this is Vivo we're talking about. They routinely overprice dubiously positioned phones here in Malaysia same with Oppo. Good designs maybe (if it isn't sometimes a blatant ripoff from other fellow Chinese brands) but sneakily with low midrange SoCs.
And don't even get me started on what's possibly the world's worst UI name ever FunTouch... that sounds like a cross between a kids' only software to an adult toy.

well the design for selfie camera is not bad. but it would have been better if it had a back side xenon flash if one wants for night shots in addition to the main led flash for routine use like it used to be in old nokia phones.

Anonymous, 29 May 2018its gonna be "dropped it once and the camera never worked again"A camera mounted on a rail will probably have a bit more protection against hard knocks than a camera mounted on a stiff metal frame, so I don't think that's likely. The motor might have reliability issues, though. Dust blocking it and wearing down the motor and mechanics.
That said, I'm not part of the selfie generation so I'm personally not interested in that part anyway. :D

It's a Vivo, you'll pay de design. The cheaper one perhaps even doesn't have selfie camera or in a corner in the Xiaomi style and will cost $780 for a SD710 (Basically a tuned SD660). IP rating? Cameras with OIS? microSD? jack? stereo speakers? Please don't ask impossible things.... a USB type-C , dual back cameras and thanks.

At that price point, the phone must be perfect beyond design aspects.
It must ship with a top end camera, at least similar quality to P20 pro
The screen should at least be OLED and QHD.
The SD card slot should came too, and a strong IP certification.
But l'm already happy to see that Infrared port
