None of these offerings wow me --except the Nokia 2.1 if they can get that to India, Central Asia, Africa, and South America by the tens of millions for pennies.
People out there will be well served with Stock Android, a coloured screen, a camera, and a long battery life. Again, this device is only good if they can make A LOT of them and sell them cheap for the really poor people looking to update their Symbian phones.
So this is how Nokia charging up? With all these lame models? I can see Nokia is getting nearer to another EOL again.
[deleted post]Hmm they do favour nokia... atleast the build quality is top notch even in entry level... nokia eats shit when it comes to ram and rom. This year they have managed to put better processors atleast.
The old nokia 3 is very slow to charge. Takes more than 3 hours... i hope the new one is faster than that if not really fast.... its annoying.
Funny how ( if not all, but pretty close to that) people who commented here are most likely won't buying any of these phones and they're here to complaints about it. They are budget phones, people. So they come with the budget specs as well.
These are a budget smartphone that wallet friendly so that some people who can use a better version of Android smartphone and doesn't need to spend a lot of money. They are AndroidOne and AndroidGo edition smartphone, for God's sake!
And also, while the Nokia 5.1 did price itself pretty close to the Nokia 6( 2017 version), but they're probably gonna be gone as places that sell them are bringing the Nokia 6.1 (2018 version) in. And as for the other ones, not many use retailer sell them, you can find the Nokia 2 and Nokia 6 from B&H, bestbuy, or/and Walmart.
Damn those top and bottom bezels on 5.1 and 3.1 though...
AnonD-704307, 29 May 2018The problem with the 1.2 is the 1 gig of ram , honestly 2 is min and 4 is max, yea some "peopl... moreThat is why it runs on oreo go and oreo go only supports 1gb ram at most anything higher will have to use normal version. I agree 2gb is minimum for smooth experience but the purpose of android go is to provide ultra cheap android phones with usable experience
Interested in the 5.1 but the SoC + batt size is a bit too optimistic. Also the price when it gets to my country Malaysia. Have to weigh it against Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, which is easily the superior choice if it's priced too close Android One or not.
Anonymous, 29 May 2018They're now going to release hundreds of models and confuse people and loose money in the proc... moreThere aren't any custom ROMs available anyway. Bootloader is locked as well. And the majority sure doesn't care about that. They want a working phone which these phones are.
They should have kept Nokia 2.1 at 5 inches and gave at-least one more gig of ram i.e. total of 2gb. This phone would have sold like hot cakes. But HMD engineers are f**ls. They don't want to sell just want to show of looks like.
Anonymous, 29 May 2018The 5.1 is almost same price 6.1 was released. And still with micro usb? Moto E5+, M... moreI guess it all comes down to how important Android updates are to you? If one is used to buying those kind of phones then it shouldn't be a problem? Different strokes for different folks and all that.
Testy, 29 May 2018Seems they got it wrong so changed the info back to Micro USB again. They made the same mistak... moreOoops! Sorry, that was supposed to be in reply to the other guy who mentioned it guy lol
The 5.1 is almost same price 6.1 was released.
And still with micro usb?
Moto E5+, Moto G6 Play, Sony L2 and Samsung J7 are much better
