I have to admit that although I hate the notch, the rest of the design is nice to me, far better than the current big bezel and huge camera hump design. It's pretty decent.

oh btw the infinity display CAN display pictures and the S8/9 CAN record videos at the infinity Aspect ratio (18.5:9)
I also heard that Asphalt 8 (a video game) support this screen
any way as long as it has AMOLED you don't need to worry about the battery (worry about the GPU tho)
any way Samsungs extra tall display still better than a NOTCH
and regular tall screens are used to replace physical and capacitive buttons with gestures
and with most chipsets supporting tall screen you don't need to worry about GPU profurmence (tho replacing FULL HD supporting chipset with HD+ is a TERRIBLE idea)

Even their OS Miui and their Apps like Mi Drop are blatant Counterfeits of IOS.
Their Promotional material is Ripped off from Apple , Their Advertisements are Copied what else do you want to prove that Xiaomi is just an Apple Counterfeit.

Hmm... even other than Mi8, i've never seen them releasing an iNotch copycat. Except for their 2017-8 series that clearly use an iPhone X's camera design.
Say that to Oppo and Vivo. They've released a lot of iNotch copycat.

Redmi note 5 pro has snapdragon 636 chip which is wayyyyy powerful than the 630 and the camera aperture is 1.9 while having a near 4000mah battery at the cost of 200-250 usd.

If the phone have all this feature, i'll ditch my queue for redmi note 5 pro and get this instead.

Notches are ridiculous and unnecessary but I might be willing to live with it if the rest of the phone is hits the mark. As for this phone, just wait for the specs and availability, they are sure to disappoint as is the current trend with Moto.
That said, the entire U.S. smartphone offerings is in a slump. Few if any phones for the masses that provide value. Tired of fragile phones that cost 800 USD or budget phones with odd specs and limited carrier support.
