This device will be a flop if their biggest bragging point is more accurate gps...
The notch is too big, the bigger variant is too big, the smaller one is not small enough and edges are too square.

I really want a LCD display. OLED screens have burn in. My Moto X 2 and my Galaxy S7, with AMOLED displays, had burn in. The fingerprint scanner on backside gives me a little hope.

People want to pay not a lot but expect total originality every time a company realeases a phone. it’s not going to happen a phone costing max £500 where on earth do you think they are going to get the money to make a super phone R&D is not cheap.

Very disappointed with the rendering, I was imagining that the xiaomi mi 8 would bring news, like the fingerprint on the screen and battery near the 4000 mah, that would have softened that face of notch, but ended up getting more of the same. Waiting for the presentation to compare with oneplus 6 and check if it will be very close to each other prices, and depending on the value I will give up the idea of buying a mi 8 and stay with oneplus 6

It's funny watch a lot of people bashing this phones and at the same time praising and claiming that it should have a low price to be able to buy one and not the overpriced Nokia's crap phones. lol So funny. Good luck when they release them.

Really this company Xiaomi is really copying apples everything its design, camera placement, geastures, notch as well as names also MI bands (Apple watch bands), MI 8 SE(Iphone 6 SE). No innovations at all still people buys it even worst service support i heard many times and they say feeling proud to use MI phones... LOL
I have head brain is usefull to think and innovate but also can be used for copying and copying every thing. They can't survive once they increase price

First design wise it is again a copy of IPHONE and 2nd it exactly look likes their own MI 2S except the new notch. Camera I am expecting to be improved from earlier MI 5PRO, MI 6X or even upcoming MI A2 because it is a flagship lineup. How it will compete with One Plus 6 or even top premium phones like S9 plus is a big ask. Hope this year they will give us something amazing in all aspect.
