Samsung is one of the few brands who has its own design language and does not copy from Apple.
This rumour about A9 Star is just rumour, because, even Samsung's mid-rangers have great design.

that camera and fingerprint placement is polarizing.

Oh my god, what is happening? Did a major apocalypse turned the whole smartphone world upside down? Yep, after iPHONE X got released, it seems like brands are attracted to the notch and the vertical camera setup. Brands lost their innovative design after having either a notch or a vertical camera setup, or having both on their smartphones, inspired by iPHONE X's design. Seriously, is the notch and the vertical camera setup that seductive?

Samsung is really stupid they make phones that are in comparable with their flagship phones and sells them on a lower price. Now who's gonna buy their flagship phones if they have almost the same features LOL

Cameras should have stayed in the centre. Maybe they are testing the market's reception to a corner placement?

Oh no, why did they move the cameras to the edge?
The fingers always get in the way...
