Zafar Rizvi, 31 May 2018No 3.5 mm headphone jack and still no IP68 support. Galaxy S8 is still a better option. TaTa Mi 8S8 is bloat with ugly curved screen which cost fortune to make.
Also is much slower with way smaller battery and ugly look.

Every time I use it people will be asking "oh, you got an iPhone X? Oh, no it's just a ripoff..." The phone you've described is the Huawei Mate RS however that costs $1000+ and I wouldn't pay that much for a phone unless I was STUPID rich.

Since the screen... moreActually, here is where most people get it wrong. Smartphone screen means OLED/LCD screen + display driver circuit. When the phone is in sleep mode and AOD is off, the display driver circuit is off and the GPU is off. When the AOD is on, the display driver circuit is ON, and in lame implementations even the GPU is ON, even if a single pixel is lit ! So now you can see why AOD eats battery for OLED. The "only non-black pixels consume battery" thinking is completely wrong.

Anonymous, 31 May 2018I want this Of course you do! It looks like The iPhone X, apart from the very ugly bottom bezel, but costs and functions on the cheap side. So it’s good for people who want to pretend they are owning something of more value than it actually is worth.
Just like a plastic Ferrari car body paired with an inexpensive diesel engine. Looks like a Ferrari, but it, something much cheaper. Oh, and slower.

Be clear - Only Explorer Edition has Face Unlock with camera sensing. Normal Mi 8 has infra-red Face Unlock.

All these copycats can't even get close to the iPX's design, speed, and features. Especially this one, with 'dat bottom chin' which looks like the iPX's distant cousin that suffers from Down Syndrome.
