For those who hate the idea of quad-core processor on mobile, it's not mandatory to buy those future devices. Don't hate this processor for this will be built not for you but for those who really need it. If you want single/dual cored phone, then you got many phones to choose from, they are already in the market.

Seriously. It's a phone. This is all unnecessary. Who needs quad core in a phone...nobody. 75Mbps download? How many times do anyone need to download a movie to your phone in 4 seconds???

                  This is all getting silly.

                  Idolatry if you ask me.

Stop focusing on processing speed - we have more than enough for a phone. Focus on POWER CONSUMPTION so we can have at least a week of heavy use on a smartphone.

"Smartphones" IMO are not as "smart" as the "old" "feature" phones which got the job done without bloated OSs like Android and gimmicky graphics and touch-screens.

raz1, 16 Sep 2011I think it's a good ideea to push the limits of the CPU+GPU because this is progress ,in 1998 ... moreMy man!. Comparing nokia's small cpu and os with samsung's heavy cpu and os is like comparing the Ultimate Euro's V12 engine with the Bugatti's wastefull W16 engine,so much power low efficiency. Yet ultimate euro runs faster and cost less just like symbian work faster, cost less resourses and suck less battery juice.

People are living in LaLa land if they think a phone can maintain decent battery life while trying to encode full HD video/games on a 4.5" 1280*960 screen with high fidelity sound. Then again, Google have fanboys convinced they can alter the laws of physics, so who am I to argue. lmfao...
