I wonder when will they get bored with Android OS and kill it... I won't be surprised nor disappointed...
We need a new powerful os that will be fast and resource friendly like ios because Android base is Java and its the slowest and resource hungry programming language, that's why iPhones have only 2gb of ram and small CPUs while android need at least 6gb and octa-core CPUs these days to operate properly!

Anonymous, 02 Jun 2018I still like my old Tab S 10.5 I want the Tab S4 to replace it. There will also be a successor... moreGSMarena just posted a news entry about that. Samsung have the best tabs but sometimes they pull off crappy moves like killing adaptable storage on their Android 6.0 tabs or reusing old innnards. Must be excess inventory.

I know that phones are growing bigger, but i don't see it going beyond 7 inch. It's just not really comfortable to draw on such small skinny 18:9 screen. On the other side buying stuff like microsoft studio or an iPad is still very expensive for new artist like me. Android Tablet with 10 inch or bigger should stay especially the one with spen

But the less than mediocre keyboards on those slimmed down ultraportables isn't nice. Had to buy a proper keyboard, a mouse, and a bag, and then it wasn't so ultra portable anymore, plus the screen became farther because of the keyboard... so we parted ways :'(

I've owned and used an adroid tablet for the past 6-7 years. They can be dirt cheap book readers that connect to the web and do casual gaming, some Chinese ones even had great screens.. It is my go-to device when I want something portable without the hassle of a laptop, yet doesn't give me a headache after half an hour of reading.

Chinese makers will probably keep making tablets for a while, I guess it's between them and apple and Microsoft.

To me, I'll stick with my old one until i have to decide between a surface and a cheap android ipad knock-off :)

I had predicted that tablets are just a fad when the first iPad and Galaxy tab came out and guess where the tablets are now.

Kiyasuriin, 02 Jun 2018Not really. No. I want my tablet to be MORE powerful than my Phone. Else why even buy one?Because the battery performance would suck?? Larger displays require larger batteries. If batteries get bigger, device gets heavier and less wieldly. Also you're not going to do any professional work on a tablet, so why would you need more power than we have now. With performance and battery increase the price is going to rise too. That's why there is a reason why ultrabooks, surface pros and 2 in 1's exist.
Consumer tablets should stay consumer tablets. You need to have realistic ideas.

33 millions of tablets per last quarter and 130-150 millions per year is a huge amount to decline support and to say nobody needs tablets. It's a huge amount.
The problem is - people using one tablet for 5-6 years. And in use niw at least 800 millions of tablets. It's unacceptable for OEMs that love only cancer-like growth. Tablets market is mature and stable. But it's still quite successful. But not like smartphones market, of course.
