MrElectrifyer, 02 Jun 2018 Android is to Tablets as Windows is to Smartphones; underwhelming joke.Since phones have gotten bigger and bigger , there is no need for tablets any more. I use my iPad as a paper weight nowadays.

For kids tablets are the best. For those who do not want to broke their eyes on 6 inch displays, for those who wants to see movies when travelling.

With phones growing bigger and bigger with high STBR there was simply no need for tablets and besides most of the tablets used crappy SoC if more OEM made hugh end tablets just like high end phones maybe tablets would survive and besides Apple iPads are much more powerful and better in every way and pretty much cost same so no surprises tablets are dying next to die is WearOS

I can't live wiyhout my Samsung Tab S3 and looking forward for Tab S4. If Samsung and Apple should make real powerful tablets, interest of clients may rise again. Put 8 gb ram, latest Exynos or Snapdragon, 4K amoled display, 10.000 mah battery, full charge in one hour and sales should rise again.

They've negleted Android for tablets for years. Apps need to use space correctly and scale properly. Just as you don't want mobile apps on your watch, tv, or car, neither do you want it on your tablet. Why couldn't they just create and Android for tablets like they made WatchOS, Android TV and Android Auto? They abandoned Honeycomb as soon as they created it.

Anonymous, 02 Jun 2018As powerful as smartphones is enough.phone got bigger...
and the line between phone and tablet were blurred.
it's logical to fuse phone and (small) tablet into one... pocket-able mobile device / highly mobile device.

Kinda disappointed. (Not that I ever used a tablet on my own...) tablets if they were MORE POWERFUL than smartphones (Apple's way) would be so successful...
