All these people saying it doesn't attract anyone, I plan on swapping my iPhone for this. I don't want to waste anymore of my life constantly being bugged by emails, facebook, instagram, etc. I know I know, self control but it's much easier said than done.

If you want to have real phone, go to Nokia1 or Nokia!
This is not competing with them at all! I have heard really Many people thinking this as their secondary phone.
This can easily make your phone calls and be the hotspot for you tablet or chromebook for intelligent services! And it looks so cool! For the show man, for the show!

I think HMD is going the wrong way by killing the legends. Looking at the design and specs makes one puke.
These series were iconic back in time. Why don't they go the same way? Metal body, change in size, better displays, bigger battery etc etc. They did a worst job with 3310. HMD need new think tank. Imagine a new plastic 6310i. Yucks....
I'll rather appreciate BlackBerry. They brought back there old models in a better way, in the form of Priv or the Keyone.

In my mind , here are the logical reasons why Nokia under HMD Global rebooting and re-unveiled the legendary Matrix-phone 8110 4G from 1996 :

1.) To ensure to the public/world that Nokia is back in the game of smartphone industry after being 2-3 years (2014-2016) is under Microsoft supervision on Lumia series .
2.) Nostalgia is one of few aspects that make people reclaim their good old days , so they can feel it again how precious that moment . By releasing 3310 2017/3G/4G and 8110 4G for past their 2nd year , is a good way of HMD to attract people attention who wants to claim their nostalgia-days by buying those two phones (HMD itself is still planning more Nostalgia-phones such as rumored E71 reboot)
3.) HMD already stated that reborn of 8110 and 3310 wasn't targeted as primary phones that uses a lot of tasks such as emails ,etc . Instead , they're targeting for who needs a secondary phones or backup phones , mostly developing countries as main target , so they can still do their things .

Sure , those phones have flaws (such as 3310 2017 doesn't have 4G connections at first version) , but if that HMD want that way by releasing old (dumb) phones , that can't be deny at all.
