nemo, 04 Jun 2018Android One on Xiaomi is a joke, Mi A1 is still on 8.0. Get a Nokia instead Xiaomi phones are the most customizable phones out there. The bootloaders of the phone can all be unlocked either online by registering and receiving (within a week or two) an unlock code or offline in the case of the Mi A1 by issuing the standard Google developer tools command. This allows for third party developers to write their own custom ROMs. On the other hand, Nokia phones, while they look great, don't offer the option all have locked down bootloader, even their newer Android One phones.

Just change mi a1 screen to 18:9 body ratio & release. why to release these crap phones & torture us. that back design am seeing it from first redmi phone i guess.

I honestly don't mind it, if used correctly, like displaying the time or cell strength or battery....
then you can use the whole screen for content, and if it's a black phone then even better, cuz the notch blends in really well....

they are using same back design on every phone whether it is budget oriented or flagship.

Why the notch? Why can't the front looked something like redmi note 5 pro xiaomi? I'm fine with rn5 thick bottom chin looks compared to this.

Bring in mi 8 SE ,Mi A 2 will be flop in India ,mi A 1 had poor Android one support ,updates were slow and buggy and mi phone without miui looks incomplete
