I don't like ASUS at all, but that's hou they all have to do something special. Support , design and accessories. Great.

It is welcome that someone is daring enough not to just make yet another too thin too large phablet, that is almost identical to what all the competitors offer. So thumbs-up for the attempt.
But IF a project like this should work, they would need to at the least commit to an intention of later versions with the same interface for the accessories. Otherwise the market will be limited to those with money to burn.
Like Lenovo is doing with their Mods for the Moto Z/Z2/Z3/... series, where 'all' Mods for the initial version, also should work for Z3 (as far as I know).

Love the design, especially the back of the phone, but I'm not excited about the concept of 'gaming phone' or phone as a dedicated gaming device. I've got Nvidia shield and because of the small screen, I rarely use it.
Casual games are okay but I wouldn't bother gaming more than 5-10 minutes on such a small screen. Not to mention mainstream PC or PlayStation games aren't even available on Android.
I bet you, this phone won't be cheap, so If you'd invest this much money in a decent graphics card for your pc you'll be much better off.

The lack of innovations from Apple / Samsung is startling - all about milking the consumber now.

Another flagship from asus that will be on the market around Xmas, when the hardware is outdated. Asus, just stop making phones and focus on the rest.

I would buy those gaming phones just because they dont like copy/paste boring slabs of glass that look like soap...
I dont care about mobile gaming because its really dont exist for obvious reasons(touchscreen lack of proper content) but at least they have balls to experiment with look, bulky or not, something new is welcome.

I think the writer should go and play some cool action/RPG android games like honkai impact or HIT. There are games who benefit from big capacity battery, cooling capabilities and high refresh rate.
