Annas, 05 Jun 2018Same like everything else right? i mean even the macbooks only the exterior layerThat's totally false. You could just go to the nearest Apple retailer and get a hold on MacBook. It's all aluminum chassis inside-out. Or if you don't want to go anywhere, just google with keyword "macbook stray bullet" to see the proof that macbook uses all aluminum chassis.
Is that touch-pad square shaped with rounded corners?? I can't believe!
Apple what do you waiting for???? $$$$$$$$
Annas, 05 Jun 2018Same like everything else right? i mean even the macbooks only the exterior layerNope. Usually the chassis is fully aluminum (give or take a few stubs and reinforcements), with some being magnesium and others being carbon fiber (Dell and Lenovo flagships). It was Asus that started the trend of making an ABS/plastic computer "like usual" but then cover the outside in aluminum (to create the illusion of having the same "aluminum unibody" as others, only at a much cheaper production price).
Their initial hinge failures tell the troubling story with this cheap choice.
That secondary screen sure looks like a great implementation compared to the mac touch bar. From the description, it is much more useful.
Apple can copy it & claim to have the biggest secondary screen, innovation!
Anonym, 05 Jun 2018They are cheap ultrabooks. Metallic exterior is nice indeed, but it's only the exterior layer.... moreSame like everything else right? i mean even the macbooks only the exterior layer
Noooo i missing the notch on the laptop :-)))))
Where is IP68 and MIL-STD810
What happened to jack?
Oh asus :-)
thank God, it's refreshing to see article with tech product other than smartphones.
getting dizzy looking at those notches flying around my screen
viveksubhash, 05 Jun 2018Does anyone remember the acer iconia notebook.. It had a second screen for a keyboardI do. and I had it. it felt weird. but when I played Osu on it It was actualy fun to use that second screen as response area. (although it wasn't the smoothest) the keyboard zone broke when I accidentally dropped it. I am using a Dell vostro now. It's decent for work. (and Osu moved to my monster in the couple room of our apartment)
Please asus take my money, that zenbook S design is not from ds world

Geric.770, 05 Jun 2018I'm a fan of this ZenBooks. That metallic finish is just great. They are cheap ultrabooks. Metallic exterior is nice indeed, but it's only the exterior layer. Inside you have a plastic chassis, some models had widespread hinge failures, and the cooling solution was far from the best. Hope they have moved-on to USB-C charging, as their low-cost charging port sucked (many broken ports and loose connectors).
