Kirk, 14 Jun 2018Loving how this post gets so salty the more you read into it...Lamo. It's too much salt in here xd
On a more serious note; Lenovo was not a bad company. The Lenovo P2 was launched on 2016 & till date it is the top smartphone in GSMArena's battery life test table. It had a well balanced SD 625 & a beefy 5000mAh battery; which was the perfect recipe to achieve enormous battery backup. Combined with the Ultimate Power Saver Mode toggle, it beats every smartphone till date in terms of battery backup. All that & Lenovo managed to make this smartphone a mere 8.3mm thick. Think what an AI optimized SoC can do with a battery capacity that big; maybe 45 days standby on the Lenovo's UPS Mode. Also don't forget that, Lenovo gave us the Rocket Charging!!!
If smartphone manufacturers were to become honest, I think they can easily sell less trend & more utility oriented smartphones.
> I have no problem with a top bezel & a button chin. I think they are an essential part of using a smartphone. It feels more natural to have symmetricity on the face of the smartphone.
> I love the capactive touch navigation buttons; they didn't hoard any screen space & were completely functional.
> Say what you will about the 3.5mm jack; they made smartphone more usable. Although I do love Type C (No more guessing game). But I would pick a smartphone with Type C & 3.5mm jack over a Type C only device every time.
> I hate the notch, but I really liked the OnePlus 6's approach to conceal it.
Lenovo if you are seeing this please make more utility oriented smartphones rather than trend oriented ones. Or better else conduct a Poll on mass scale; you will see exactly what the people expect. I know this might not be that practical, but still you might get some insight from it. I thank GSMArena for conducting polls of such kind on regular basis.
John, 06 Jun 2018Hahahaha. Tony Stark has spokenDamn, my cover has been blow. I guess there is no point in hiding it anymore;
Love the post :D what about 45 days stand by? :D this is epic fail, someone should be fired
Audacious.. hats off to you GSM Arena. It takes guts to take one of the giants of the industry literally head on... In times of paid news and propaganda, you keep the flag of pure and unbiased journalism flying high.. Take a bow...
I'm dying of laughter! The article is so well-written; Lenovo shall be covering under leaves out of shame
Not surprised ..Apple lies all the time ... Samsung does too ... so what if Lenovo did as well ?

It is a bit of over board to suggest it don't have processor either haha.
Get on to something more serious instead of ranting and raving about something insignificant.
How about making C-change improvements in the product line instead of small incremental enhancements which mean almost nothing to the end user. Or, how about Android supporting older phones (Samsung) upgrades instead of just letting them lapse into old obscurity?? These are IMPORTANT things.
I agree with you but i also think your rage is not right to post it like this after all this is serious website for reviews and news
try to write your dissapointment in better way not like a salty kid without a toy to play

Yes, Samsung updates have been/ are being covered, I often see News snippets on this site.
You didn't specify which Samsung model, but to search this site I just tapped the magifying glass icon to search & typed 'Samsung oreo' & got this info:
Lenovo CEO was reading all this comment, and keep laughing, laughing and laughing....
So happy that people mention Lenovo Z5 so many times.
Come on guys, move on...
