Anonymous, 06 Jun 2018No2 dude are you see mi 8 or not....or ujust nubia workers said this...i think 100% you do not... moreI guess you and everyone else about the Mi 8 are correct, they did have to fit Face ID or something tech there, but still shame on these OEMs for putting a notch there, *ahem* Lienovo, many of these companies like Huawei and Xiaomi have hundreds and thousands of engineers, and yet set out to make a carbon copy of the iPhone X but for an affordable price, like the Mi 8.
I'd much prefer something like the Z18 and give up the secure Face ID, I'll settle for OnePlus's solution on the 5T, (the 6 could be fooled by a picture), or just use a fingerprint sensor. Seriously, Face ID doesn't make the process of unlocking a phone faster or more convenient than putting my finger somewhere.
I have to applaud Samsung for not doing this, the Galaxy Note9 is rumored to have a regular screen.
Otherwise, this phone looks very promising, SD845 and is rumored to come with stock Android, although it was not in the pictures, still keeping my hopes up... If so, then Essential Phone 2?

If they insist on doing a notch for just plain camera/sensors, this is how to do it. Almost every other notched Android phone, with the exception of the Mi 8 ones with the face scan, is clearly making the notch wider than it needs to be just to make it look like the iPhone X one; it's getting pretty embarrassing.
