maybe let's kill this company before it loss even more money? don't call me sexism, but after HTC change the new female CEO... the company like no direction at all... phone design is getting drop.
suarez92, 07 Jun 2018Depends on where you live. My region southeast Europe always get updates LAST ONE. I live in southeast europe as well

That's hardly a surprise. LG released the G7 a month ago with no info about price and availability, ditto for Sony's XZ2 and same for HTC's newest...
I wonder if it's some sort of joke? I am not sure they are even serious about doing business?
Oneplus releases 2 phones a year, Samsung 2 flagships, Apple 3 phones and other hardware and people wonder why sony/htc don't make money any more?
Well thats what you get for copying the worst features of your competitors instead of continuing on innovation and expecting only to sell based on Camera performance. Plus especially sweeter since proves this is what you get for cutting headphone jack (unlike samsung)

HTC needs mid-range devices at down to earth prices. They may raise the price after enough marketshare as Chinese are doing. All of their existing devices are overpriced.
Geric.770, 07 Jun 2018Most users don't care about updates, and I can prove it by telling you that my parents, friend... moreI wholeheartedly agree. I'm on the same opinion as a user commented previously: they have a wrong pricing and marketing strategy. If only they could price their phone the same price as their Chinese competitors and do aggressive marketing strategies with a healthy dose of hype, I think people will gonna buy their phones even if they deliver their software updates late.
HTC must reconsider its pricing strategies. It no longer is considered as premium brand. It lost its path long ago and with Android world reaching saturation point it needs to bring something great, either new or making present feature a best out there. It is no point in htc believing itself as Apple of Android, it isn’t. The only high end Androids that sells is a certain Galaxy S or Note. HTC needs to come down a little from the high ground, and target OnePlus’s market. Keep good things intact and improve upon bad things, price it just OnePlus’s price range or just above it.
Maybe HTC should price their phones 46% less than their current pricing. They are in NO POSITION to demand $799 for the U12+ that is nothing but a "Me-too" phone for 2018.
Note7 owner, 07 Jun 2018Very ill informed comment. Sony is much larger than just smartphones or HTC. You may consider his comment is meant for Sony’s mobile division.

They'll just keep using social media and for communication without worrying about new Android versions, and I respect them a lot as I respect your comment. :)
Anonymous, 06 Jun 2018Don't worry, they still have people to sell ... Post of the year
Anonymous, 07 Jun 2018Dont worry HTC, Sony is gonna follow you soon!Very ill informed comment. Sony is much larger than just smartphones or HTC.
Nothing wrong with HTC. It's just the market saturated with smart phone
HTC Desire 650 with a Snapdragon 400 for $200 in 2017...what did you expect...
when HTC launches their new phone specs/ news, I follow with gee.
when i see the pricing, away I turn.
HTC keep selling their phones at a premium pricing.
even if they have similar specs than Samsung etc, if they sell at similar pricing, only HTC fans will buy.
rest of the crowd will buy samsung phones etc, due to marketing and brand awareness.
my friend whom is a HTC's fan (think he bought like 5 continuous generations of HTC phone) also gave up on them recently as it is generally expensive with no real competitive advantage (he is anti-SS, so he bought a new Sony)
LG, HTC, Sony should all rethink their pricing strategy.
do it like Xiaomi, Oneplus, (even HMD's Nokia?) top-tier specs and bargain pricing, they definitely will gain market share that they so desire. With market share, then it makes sense for them to implement their other complement plans (e.g. LG wants to launch LG pay or something like that? If they launch and no phone support, whats the point? they need their market share first for it to have a chance of success)
I will definitely give up my N8 when upgrading time comes if premium phones are available with a lower price point and higher feature set than SS.
else, similar price phones, i will still choose SS due to Samsung pay/ other marketing features they launch for owners of SS phones.
(above is not in consideration of patches etc)
