Yeah sure cut the costs as much as possible but not the price. In fact increase it if possible! Hahaha typical Samsung! They can go bankrupt as far as I care. After the dead mmc thing with Note 4 and Note Edge im done with Samsung forever. Worse than cheap Chinese phones like Umi Digi, Leagoo, Ulephone, Elephone, etc.

I can recommend you on Xiaomi Mi Max 2. it's screen is absulutely HUGE: 6.44INCHES in 16:9 ratio. (however. the preformance is avarage: Snapdragon 625/4 GB ram/64 GB Storage)
if you're after screen size. go for Xiaomi's max series.

Ugly curved screen resulting in annoying glare. I had S9 for a week and sold it for V30. Those glare is disturbing.
And the back looks unproporsional.

Because at least people would have an option, a choice.

Then in next year 2016 everyone else started using wide aperture. That's the last camera innovation for phones. The dual camera is just a gimmick that was born because the manufacturers didn't have any idea to innovate.

Of course the only feature today's phones have and people care about is the design and status symbol.
Yes, it looks nice, it looks good on these advertisement photos and I see how the curved front and back glass edges with refelcting the light manipulate the mindless consumers to buy this phone. But who consider the looks and status as the most important things? Only the ignorants (the vast majority of people).
The phones should not be fashion accessories, jewelries. The glass body is the worst. The curved edges are horrible. The phones should be high tech, all in one tools with practical design and should have all features (including removable battery, IR blaster, FM Radio, ...). The removable battery is essential.
Note 9's back design is an LG V20 copycat. It has a single large piece of camera glass similarly to V20, which means maybe it will be similarly fragile. It has almost the same arrangement too.

note battery has been crap, phone with 8b ram is everywhere now.
they are just keep making the screen bigger (well taller to be exact which really gives no additional (usable) screen space to use.
note used to mean something to many of us but no more as they are now using the same
cpu as Galaxy s series with mediocre battery size.
