Vegetaholic, 08 Jun 2018Wondering who would buy this crap, HTC is doomedI'll tell you who would buy this "crap" - people like me who had their "flagship smartphone"'s screen shatter because of a drop from 20cm height, who don't want to invest a ton of money in yet another "flagship smartphone" and just need a phone that works well and does well at being a phone. This one has very good reception just as good as my previous "flagships" from Samsung, good sound quality (people can hear me well and I can hear them well), decent screen that's pleasant to look at, nice build quality and a very nice and reliable and quick to use fingerprint sensor. CPU and GPU performance is perfectly good for anything I need to do and the phone doesn't get hot even after extensive use (unlike the "flagship smartphones" which get really hot, very uncomfortable), the camera has very nice quality, the LED flash is very bright. Overall it's a great phone and guess what, I paid 2.5 or 3 times less for it. Yeah I don't need the "super features" of a flagship phone nowadays. I'm the kind of "idiot" who would buy this fine smartphone.

I just don´t like it. At the very beginnig I couldn´t imagine other phones to use than htc. I still have 2 perfectly working win phones one trinity, one diamond (which I think the most beautiful phone ever). Had a desire, a desire z (really sucked). And never again. Htc is just got lost somewhere on the road. And they were pioneers.

Why htc ? You are not learning the lessons from your mistake. Indian market is very crucial and important. Just provide a better spec mobile and you are good to go. We need Snapdragon!!!! You will be a hit with good hardware and can be dangerous for the chinese. You got everything. Hope you listen the feedback and work on something.

Nougat in 2018 when Android P are only 2 months away? On top of that it's version 7.0 not 7.1. HTC used to stood for something but now they're probably lost it.

Better sell last year flagship devices in half or one third prices in order to get more customers don't waste time and money in developing new models

You have been in the red for a few years now and your devices' market share has sunk to the lowest levels. Your brand name is biting the dust since don't know for how long.

What you do if you are any normal company- bring out devices that are priced competetively, to gain back market share, resurrect your image, and to move numbers, and also make some profit, albeit smaller than what you used to 7 years back, but still better than a loss.

What HTC does- bring devices which are priced over 2x the price of similar specced competitors, sink in further, even higher losses, a hit on the already almost nil market share.

HTC is doing, what in human terms, we call "suicide"

Tag is too high for devices with Mediatek SoC and SD 450 SoC.
