MTK (mediatek) is the most CHEAPEST chipset (i would give my hand in fire if it costs more that 5 bucks). Those chipsets mostly last only one year from my experience at mobile shop, and then they just burn out. Every phone with MTK chipset is easily unlocked from FRP. And in my personal opinion I WOULD NEVER BUY A PHONE WITH MTK CHIPSET.

Basically,
the only SoC that matters is Snapdragon.

All others are either proprietary or very low end.

the Apple's exclusive chips use an architecture that Android cannot decipher. (A64)
sure. you can actually try and use android software on their chips. but it'll do completely different stuff than intended...
Qualcomm, Mediatek, Kirin, and everyone else use ARM64. which is a different arcitecture than Apple. that's why.

Interesting..... so the main rivalry is between Mediatek and Qualcomm...
Since a LOT of chinese companies seek to keep the price RATHER low (yet still fairly overpriced according to the costumer's opinion) they'd choose mediatek.
while those who can afford, will go with Qualcomm's.
Too bad companies (Except meizu for now) don't go with Samsung's solutions, Exynos.

At least companies are willing to share their tech compared to appl ewhere A1 bionic and their new chipsets are exculively made by for apple.
I know that they afraid if A Mi8 series for example were powered by A1 bionic and were sold for a same price Apple could close its bussiness.
In case of Samsung they dont even use Exynos on all its models. Even a flagships relly on Snapdragon.
When half or more than half of Samsung devices using snapdragon its waste of money and research. For these they should focus on something else.
Either Samsung should give only exynos to all its devices or stiop making its own chipsets because its a waste of money and thus their devices cost much more despite more than halkf of S9 flagships use Snapdragon.
What a waste.
If i were Lee Kun-Hee prime king of Samsung company i would sack all the ceo because they are bunch of idiots with no marketing, economical and other skills at all.
