AnonD-751111, 10 Jun 2018why I won't buy apple products is because it takes effort to transfer file, unlike androidYou can transfer files on iOS as you do Android. The only difference is that you dont't have Internet browser downloads.
I use a freenas server and it works perfectly fine with all iDevices. Hope they will enable browser downloads on iOS 12 and in that case it will be identical to Android.

If you really want to use iPhone with Windows..
1. Download FileBrowser
2. Share files with FileBrowser
3. Create share folder on your Windows.
4. Configure share folder on FileBrowser.
FileBrowser is also shown in File App..

You forgot to mention that you can't view your Photos Stream in the online Photos app at iCloud.com. There you have an advantage if you use Google's Photos app.
And don't use the Photos app on macOS if you want to share photos with your family members who do not have Macs as it doesn't allow you to choose the folder structure for organising the photos. It just sucks up all photos and hides them in a hole somewhere.

Transferring files from an iPhone or a Mac to a pc is really easy if you know what to do. People complain that Macs are hard to use but they forget that Macs can also run Windows. Whatever file like media or document exist in the Mac hard drive can be seen and opened when ran Windows on a Mac. Just go to computer, locate the Mac hard drive, open it and have access to photos, videos, pdf etc.

my Bro had Mac for 3500 from his friend.
His friend sold hs 3500 mac for half the price and my bro return back this mac after 2 weeks because despitelooking excellent its diffucult to work with mac.
Windown is much easier and reliabvle option which wont restrict you like IOS, Siri and Safari by mac.

This is still the reason why I never bought any Apple products in my whole life. Limitations and many restrictions are very annoying in the Apple ecosystem, and you need more money for these special gadgets to connect everything for particular device!
Meanwhile in the Android and Windows world, it is more streamlined and more useful for everyone because you don't need expensive products to experience like Apples.

Adroid phones work in symbiose with windows computers.
Android phones barely works with Mac computers.
Apple phones doesnt work at all with windows computer without using and 3rd party program such as Itunes ETC.
Apple phones works well with Mac but in this case 1000 per phone 2000 per good mac and spending 3000 on apple is nonsense even for people who can afford.

Now imagine if that would be a car or home, and everytime when you want to invite friend or drive with him... you need to call Apple. In that scenario it sound weird... but with phone its ok? Think about it for a moment...
